Family Ties of Westchester, Inc. was founded in 1989, and has since grown from a single support group
into a membership of over 500 families. Currently, we are the only support organization of our kind in Westchester County. Because we strongly believe that all children have the right to reach their potential socially, emotionally, educationally, and physically, Family
Ties strives to bridge the gap between families in need and community resources. Our family-focused approach and individualized community-based planning has helped to keep hundreds of
children out of residential placements and strengthened their success at home, school, and in the community.

Family Ties recognizes parents and caretakers as full partners in all planning and
decision-making that impact the lives of their children as well as their own. Membership in Family Ties of Westchester, Inc. allows parents to be involved at all levels of planning (policy
formation, program development, and service delivery), in collaboration with mental health professionals.
